Pilgrimage

November 14 to 17, 2016 twenty people, including our leader of the Pilgrimage, Fr. Agustín Guzmán, CO traveled from St. Mary Catholic Church in Rock Hill, SC to West Virginia and Ohio to visit some grand churches, Basilicas and Cathedrals. Included in the 20 people were one couple from St. Phillip Neri in Ft. Mill, and one couple from All Saints in Lake Wylie, of which Fr. Guzmán is the pastor.

The following is a slideshow/storyboard video of the pilgrimage.

Day 1 began with Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rock Hill, SC.
Father spoke of the 1st reading telling of the Lord telling the Church in Ephesus that they were faithful, but had lost their first love and passion. Father told how this Pilgrimage is an opportunity to stir the embers of our own faith. He spoke of the urgency that the blind man had begging Jesus to restore his sight.

Day 4 we had Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, OH
Father explains the Revelation reading how John was weeping because no one was worthy to open the scroll, but then one of the elders saying not to weep because the lion of Judah has triumphed who could open it. The lion is Jesus, and Father related to "The Chronicles of Narnia" and Asland being the lion who represented Jesus, who becomes a lamb who is slain.
