Rita Smith, long time parishioner at St. Mary, known often as the "Flower Lady" went home to the Lord Sunday night, October 6, 2019 due to a heart attack. Our prayers for comfort go out to her husband, Reed and all the rest of her family. She had organized the Anniversary Mass, one of which was just a week ago, on September 28th. She loved our parish and was most active. Rita, we will miss you. We pray you are having a grand time in the arms of our Savior, what we are all looking forward to ourselves.

UPDATE: Rita's funeral will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rock Hill. She will be interned following that and a repast after that held at the Brother David Boone Fellowship Hall at St. Mary.
