Deacon asked us if we are preparing for the feast? What is the real feast? Heaven. In the 1st reading, Isaiah gives the image that God wants to invite all to the feast. His chosen people, the Israelites refused the invitation. In the Gospel, after the Jewish people refused the invitation, so after that, the gentiles (us) are invited. Deacon talked about the man not properly dressed for the wedding feast. He explained that it is deeper than just wearing the right garment. It is about us having "put on Christ" in preparing for the feast. Just being a member of the congregation does not guarantee our place in heaven.
