June 28, 2020 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Homily by Fr. Agustín Guzmán, C.O., Pastor

Father told us that because of the woman's hospitality (who is not named), received a prophets blessing. Hospitality in ancient times was much more poignant than it is today. When she was asked what she might like, she replied that she was content because she lived among family. But she was barren. In those days, many would consider that she may have sinned. Later, not in todays reading, the child dies. She sends for the prophet, Elisha, and she begs him. He is able to restore the son's life.
