Father told us about the responsorial psalm, "Lord, send out your spirit, renew the face of the earth", how we cry out the same, now in this day of the Corona Virus pandemic, as well as the tragic killing of a young African American man, who did not deserve to be killed. We ask God to renew the face of the earth, to renew the parish. We want the Holy Spirit to come upon us and transform us. The disciples, after his crucifixion, hid in the upper room because they were frightened that they were going to be killed as well. However, after the Holy Spirit filled them, they no longer had fear, and now were willing to die for the name of Jesus. It was a complete transformation.
