April 26, 2020 3rd Sunday of Easter Homily by Fr. Agustín Guzmán, C.O., Pastor Father told us about the Gospel reading about the road to Emmaus. One is named which is Cleopas. In the first reading Peter addresses the people, talking about Jesus and how they had handed Jesus over to lawless men to be condemned to death. He quotes Psalm 16 which is attributed to David. He said that there is no way that David was referring to himself. He had to be referring to someone from the future, which we believe is Jesus. In the 2nd reading, about us having one foot in this world and one in the next world. |
