Deacon told us that today's readings focus on temptation, and how it can disconnect us from God. The first reading was about the temptation given to Adam and Eve, and how they did disobey God. The gospel told us about even Jesus being tempted, and was tempted in everyway that we are tempted, but He gave the example of how we can overcome the temptation. He spoke of the temptation in the desert, that is dry and the kind of life we must overcome in order to prepare for the life we are to have.
