Deacon told us that all the readings today point to today's feast, The Presentation of the Lord. He explained that as he has re-introduced himself to this feast, he now understands that the light of the world was entering into the Jewish tradition in a way that was so subtle and routine, but also in a way that was shaping the very foundation of religion. Two people waiting patiently for years to hear from God. They proclaim that Jesus is the light of the world and is the everlasting Lord.
