Father told us about the Gospel being eschatological, where there will be new growth coming from the stump of Jesse. When this was prophesized about 800 years before the coming of Jesus, the kings then were not as good as the kings from the past. So the prophecy is saying that the spirit of the Lord will be upon him. He will have a spirit of the Lord descend upon him. It will e a spirit of wisdom, of council, and of fear of the Lord. Father related this to the sacrament of Confirmation where we receive the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit.
