Homily-2019-10-06

October 6, 2019 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Homily by Fr. Agustín Guzmán, C.O., Pastor

Father told us about the parable in the Gospel, about how the servant tells that he is an unworthy servant and has only done what he is supposed to. Some people might feel they have lost their faith, but the fact that they are still having an ongoing conversation with God, they have not lost their faith. Even if they have stopped going to church, it is usually not due to a disagreement with doctrine. They leave because someone has been mean to them in some way. But they still believe in God. In the first reading Habakkuk where he complains that God is not listening to him. We can identify when we don't understand how God does not intervene when they suffer. Usually, it is mostly an inconvenience.
