Deacon said when Paul wrote the epistle to the Corinthians, he was not speaking of a bride and groom speaking vows of marital bliss to each other. He was speaking about love but he was thinking of Jesus. Deacon said he knows that we would all do well if we were to think about Jesus in all of our actions. The 2nd reading spoke of "striving to seek the more spiritual gifts, but I will show you a still more excellent way." We should all know that the more excellent way of living out our spiritual gifts is through God's love.
