January 6, 2019 The Epiphany

Deacon told us that today, as we celebrate The Epiphany, we celebrate the 3 kings, or wise men, arriving at the manger to see the child Jesus, and gave of their treasures. Only those 3 men recognized the meaning of the appearance of the star, even though everyone else would have been able to see it. It took a lot of faith on the part of the maji, and is a challenge to our faith in Christ. They followed the star to where Jesus was. Deacon told us that the star was Jesus Himself. We too are on a journey, and the star is manifested in Jesus.
