Father spoke to us about trust. Asked, "Do we trust in God?" He spoke of the scriptures being filled with people who trust in God, including Daniel when he was thrown into the lions den; the 3 young men when thrown into the burning furnace; Queen Esther, when she had to approach the King of Babylon; and in the new Testament, when Peter was about to drown, and he cried out to Jesus to save him; and St. Paul when he was shipwrecked, trusted in God. In the 1st reading when the widow trusted in God when Elijah told her that her jar of flour and jug of oil would not run dry, she trusted. Do we trust in God?
