September 30, 2018 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time Homily by Rev. Dr. Joseph Pearce, C.O., Pastor Father spoke about the problem St. James was having with his community, and that it still exists today. He talked about the faith that is "verbal", and not "action". They know the law and can teach others, but they don't live it. It is on their lips, but not in their hearts. Jesus told us the same thing, where he told His disciples to obey the Pharisees, but don't do what they do. The Pharisees were hypocrites. |
