Deacon told us that Matthew wrote his account because he wanted his community to not only understand that Jesus was the King, but was also the long awaited Messiah that had been prophesied. He also is describing Jesus as the new and better Moses who brings the fulfilment of the new law. He said there are 3 types of people who are on a journey to seek out God's love. The first type is the person who has found God and is serving Him. The second type is the person who has found God but bound by their earthly points of views that hampers them from enjoying the truth of God's love. The third type is the person who pretends to seek God but could care less to seek and find the truth in God.
