Deacon told us how we must stay awake and alert as we await this joy and hope that comes from God. The Church joins us in preparing for this joyous event as they change our season, and our liturgical colors. We display them as we await the coming of our Lord. Next we celebrate the advent wreath. The green wreath symbolizes the love and life giving that God gives us. The circle symbolizes the unending love God gives us.
