Father told us about a time when a society wanted to ban knowledge. They had all books burned. There were a group of rebels who fought it by memorizing some important books and became a living book. Father said if there were any passage from the Bible he would choose to memorize, it would be today's gospel. He said today's gospel sums up all scripture: "Love the Lord your God with your whole heart and your whole soul. And the second is to love your neighbor as yourself."
