August 20, 2017, Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time Homily by Father Joseph Pearce, CO Father said there is one sin we all share: the sin against unity. That God created one family that was to be united. However, Adam and Eve sinned, and lack of unity began. The Jews considered themselves God's chosen, and that the Gentiles were on the outside. Father says there are 3 requirements to be part of God's kingdom. The first is do justice, and act rightly. Second is that God says serve and minister to God. Third is to keep the Sabbath holy, and keep His house as a house of prayer. Do these, and you belong to the family of God. |
