Homily by Fr. Joseph Pearce, C.O.

Wisdom tells us that God is kind and merciful. Kindness is the foundation of God's justice. So if we are to be God-like, then we need to be kind. Sometimes it may be hard to be kind to, like the person who cuts us off, or the person who doesn't smell very good. Father tells us that one way of being kind is to control our tongue. Also, control of our eyes is how we can be kind. Being envious of another's possession can be unkind. Also, controlling our temper is a mode of kindness. We can't count on humans for justice, but God does give justice, and his foundation of justice is kindness.
